Speedway Children’s Charities’ Charlotte chapter hosted its annual ultimate karting endurance race on Wednesday, July 16, drawing several of NASCAR’s top drivers to support the cause. The highly anticipated 5th annual Clarke Power Services Speedway Children’s Charities Karting for a Cause presented by Tattoo Projects took place on the challenging karting course in the infield of Charlotte Motor Speedway.
During the three-hour endurance race, a team of NASCAR Cup series drivers, including FrontRow Motorsports’ Noah Gragson and Zane Smith, and Haas Factory Team’s Cole Custer, competed against 27 other teams. One team even featured XFINITY driver Nick Sanchez. The event aimed to raise funds for Speedway Children's Charities (SCC) while drivers battled for the checkered flag and bragging rights.
Director of SCC’s Charlotte chapter, Taylor Kirby, expressed gratitude for the racing community and sponsors who made the event a success. The event had a significant impact, raising over $65,000 in 2024 and more than $200,000 since its inception.
